Malinska is adorned with an ideal location on the northwest coast oft he island, in a wide bay. It is located near the town of Krk(12 km), the bridge (15 km) and Rijeka airport(12 km). The reason why Krk is a very pleasant place during winter and summer is its mild climate. Sub-Mediterranean climate with warm and sunny summers and mild and rainy winters, which makes it an ideal place for holidays throughout the year.
Malinska itself is a fairly new settlement so there are no valuable historical monuments, but in the immediate vicinity oft he town there is a church of St. Mary Magdalene in Porto and the parish church of St. Apollinarius in Bogovići, built in the 19th century. Listed church of St. Mary Magdalene was gifted to the Glagolitic in the 15th century by the Frankopan family. Glagolitic later built a monastery next to the church. The monastery now houses a small museum decorated with religious facilities and valuable ethnographic collection.
